"Pinwheels in the Roses" Brenta Poole, Hendersonville, NC Rail fence blocks in pink & green forming pinwheels set on-point. Machine quilted, hand pieced	"Diamonds and Rosettes" Betty Valentine, Hendersonville, NC Traditional freezer paper piecing. Tried to use as many fabrics as possible. Used fussy cutting to augment the design. A six year project.

"Climbing the Garden Wall" Donna Edwards, Hendersonville, NC The colors were from a paint chip challenge for Tarheel Piecemakers. We had to use whatever chips we drew.

"Mountain Blooms" Pat Childress, Brevard, NC Loving hand work as I do, this design caught my eye immediately. It was a good project to do over the cold winter months. Click on photo for detail image.	"12 Days My Way: A Folk-Art Christmas" Jean Hart, Brevard, NC My own rendition of the 12 days of Christmas. Inspired by a Keepsake medley of febrics given to me by my sister-in-law.	"Scutterbotch" Carin Rupp, Hendersonville, NC We were moving into a new house with a big empty wall –"Scutterbotch" filled the space. Log cabin type units were randomly pieced. Patches in the sashing are raw edge appliqué.

"Blurred Vision" Karen Rhoades, Hendersonville, NC For WNCQG challenge. The bright yellow fabric was tea-dyed to complement other fabrics. Paper Pieced.	"Autumn Retreat" Linda Ebert, Hendersonville, NC Rectangular green and yellow wallhanging with three scenes from Alaska surrounded by autumn leaves. Click on photo for larger image.	"Butterflies in my Garden" Donna Edwards Hendersonville, NC I love this butterfly pattern. I used my bright colors for the butterflies which made the butterflies cheerful.

	Left "Home Is Where the Heart Is" Bonnie Lucas, Mills River, NC The black/white WNCQG challenge fabric represents night into day, so I built the quilt around a sunrise. Our son in Iraq is the rest of the inspiration.

"Kimono #4" Pat Yurick, Flat Rock, NC Four kimonos – paper pieced – oriental fabric – machine quilted.

"Brewster...The Blue Rooster" Claire Rouse, Brevard, NC Brewster consists of 37 pieces using 17 fabrics. Techniques used are hand appliqué, hand embroidery, trapunto, machine quilting.
