The Western North Carolina Quilters Guild is a 501(c)3 organization begun in 1982. The Guild proudly promotes the art of quilting. The membership, of all skill levels, encompasses all forms of quilting – traditional, modern and art.

The Guild has four sub-groups known as AREAS which are small groups that meet monthly for charity work, fellowship, and continuing education.

Events of the Guild include speakers, a biennial Quilt Show, a yearly scholarship, a World Wide Quilting Day challenge, and local retreats.
