In Hand Quilting, Practice DOES Make Perfect!
Audra Rasnake specializes in needle turn appliqué and is also now recognized as an instructor at The Academy of Appliqué in Williamsburg, Virginia and recently taught for AQS in Des Moines, Iowa. She considerers herself a traditional quilter and designs her own patterns and quilts by drafting all of them on graph or freezer paper. She also teaches classes on hand quilting, needle turn appliqué, folded cutwork appliqué, English Paper Piecing, and Boutis (French quilting). She and her husband of 35 years are the proud parents of two United States Marines. In addition to quilting she loves reading, playing Rook, cooking, and spending time with other quilters. And, of course, she loves teaching her skills to as many students as she can.
